A New Battery Technology That’s a Game Changer For Solar Power Electricity

After 10 years of research and testing, a new generation of cost-effective, deep-storage battery has arrived that’s small and safe enough to sit in your basement and power your home. It may be the single most important breakthrough to date for the potential of wide-spread residential solar power electricity.  The breakthrough comes from a company called Ceramatek.

Solar energy has been around for a while, but it has historically been prohibitively expensive, however costs have been recently dropping sharply due to new photovoltaic (PV) thin-film chemistry and manufacturing techniques. Some companies are reporting PV panels for under $2 a watt which is a four-fold cost reduction from the $8 it was only a few years ago.  The convergence of these and other PV panel advances with this remarkable new development has profound implications for alternative energy and our dependence on fossil fuels.

3 Questions That You Should Ask Yourself Before Buying a New Computer System

A lot of users do not know lot about hardware characteristics. But when buying one, that is the most important thing to know. To know how good and fast computer we really need we first have to ask our self a few questions:

Buying a New PC – Should You Upgrade, Or Buy a New Computer, Or Build Your Own?

If you’ve been using the same computer for several years, chances are that its performance might be degrading. You might notice your computer is gradually becoming slower and slower. One reason why computers become slow over time is that advances in technology are making software and hardware requirements go up.

Upgrading your current system is the most cost effective depending on the parts you want to upgrade. For most people, adding more memory (RAM) can give your system a significant boost. They come in three flavors: DDR, DDR2, and DDR3. DDR2 memory modules are the most common in the market and are relatively cheap, being $50 or less. Choose the type of module your computer accepts; a system can only accept one of three flavors, e.g. a system may take DDR2 but not DDR or DDR3.
